Overview:
There are fundamental standards established in the codes of ethics for all helping professions that ensure that relationships remain professional and ethical. They help create safe spaces for growth and healing and align our practices with the ethical values that protect our clients, ourselves, our practice settings, and the public health. Join Kim Wilson, LPC, for an illuminating conversation on setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, including tips for communication and best practices to help enable healthy relationships in our professional and personal lives. We will examine how to apply these principles through several case examples and discuss ethical considerations. Participants will better understand the importance of boundaries, how challenges with boundaries can affect our relationships with clients, and why we must endeavor to set and maintain healthy boundaries in order to strengthen our relationships with clients.
