This course is targeted for social workers, case managers, nurses, and counselors.

5 CE – Overview:

A unique and fun approach to complex ethical dilemmas.   A self-paced online course experience featuring pre-recorded video from Maureen Schuster, LMSW and Jason Lesandrini, BA,MA, who will lend their unique approach to guide us through ethical standards and complex case scenarios in clinical, research, and organizational settings. This online course facilitates an evaluation of our personal values to determine whether or not they’re in conflict with our professional integrity.  We will identify clinical ethics issues in the practice of healthcare and compare and contrast clinical, research, and organizational ethics issues. Attendees will leave this presentation with the tools to identify and problem solve complex ethics issues in their own professional practice.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the session – the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify clinical ethics issues in practice of healthcare.
  2. Compare and contrast clinical, research and organizational ethics issues.
  3. Utilize an ethics decision making framework to address ethical issues within healthcare.
  4. Identify 2 research ethics issues that impact healthcare delivery
  5. Identify the ethical values at play for each case scenario presented
