CEU Creations, provider #1239, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. CEU Creations maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: [11/22/21-11/22/24]. Click here to see which states/jurisdictions accept ASWB/ACE.
CEU Creations has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6941. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CEU Creations is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
CEU Creations is an approved provider of nursing CEs through the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider number: CEP16563). All states retain their own licensing authority through their own boards. Please make sure to check with your own state board to ensure the transferability of the CE credits.
Many of our programs (they will be marked accordingly) are approved by CCMC for case manager credits.
CEU Creations is a Georgia Composite Board of professional counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists approved provider for social work and counselor continuing education through the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program (ACE Approval #1239) and NBCC (Approval ACEP No. 6941).
Some of our trainings are approved by the Georgia Society of Clinical Social Workers or NASW-GA/NASW-National (will be notated specifically in that course description).
All states retain their own licensing authority through their own boards. If you have questions, please make sure to check with your own state board to ensure the transferability of the CE credits.
The boards require that we maintain certain information about each attendee for our courses. This information is used to ensure that you are receiving the proper credit for attending the course in case your hours are audited or the boards need to contact you.
In an effort to make it easier for you to register for other courses, we collect this information and pre-populate that information when you register for any other course. We don’t like to keep typing the same information over and over and don’t want you to have to do that either.
Guidelines from the Georgia Composite Board state that “participants must attend the entire presentation in order to receive continuing education credit” for the training workshops that CEU Creations provides. In keeping with these guidelines and to ensure that our ability to offer CEs is not compromised, we will not be able to give certificates to attendees who arrive more than 15 minutes late or leave 15 minutes before the completion of the course.
In addition, we will not be able to refund your registration fee, as we have a stated refund policy on our website and your presence has already been counted during the preparation for the presentation. For those who arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will be allowed to join the presentation at the first break, but certificates will not be available for the time in attendance. Likewise, those leaving early will not be able to receive credit for attendance.
Again, we have this policy to ensure that we maintain our ability to provide exceptional, affordable CEs to you, your coworkers, and all allied healthcare practitioners. To ensure that questions do not arise during an event, please make sure you have planned enough travel time to arrive at the event prior to the start of the event and are able to remain at the event for the full duration of the presentation. We appreciate your support and understanding in this matter.
Note: Live stream courses will be following the same guidelines. We use a variety of analytic information, chat/poll participation to ensure attendance for each event.
In-person events will have certificates available on the day of the event. Live stream events will have certificates available within five business days of the event due to additional verification required for live stream events.
We typically send reminders for events two days prior to the event for in-person/live stream events, and the morning of the hospital Lunch-N-Learn events. Please check your junk/spam folder for the event information.
Please note, some companies block or filter emails from outside the organization. If this is the case at your company (if your IT department is unable to make a change for this type of email, contact us to assist with your IT department to make exceptions to this rule), you may want to consider using a different email address to receive the information.
In addition, if you unsubscribe from our emails, we may not be able to send you the reminder information. All reminder emails are sent to the email address supplied when you register for an event. We will, of course, work with you to help ensure that you receive the email/presentations/handouts that are sent in the reminders.
For events with a fee:
Registrants must cancel through Patty Tucker (patty@ceucreationsinc.com ) only via email or phone (contacting other staff members/leadership does not guarantee your cancellation). No faxes or mail cancellations will be accepted.
Cancellation Fee: $25 - Refunds will not be given for cancellations within five business days prior to the workshop date.
For complimentary events:
Your RSVP is a firm commitment that you will attend the conference. If you are unable to attend, we simply request that you email or call us at least 48 hours prior to the event to let us know. If you do not inform us prior to a "no show," we may be unable to accommodate you at future events.
For on-demand courses:
- CEU Creations prides itself on providing exceptional continuing education courses. If you are dissatisfied with a course or select a course in error, please contact us within five days, and we will void the course and you can select a replacement.
- Once a certificate of completion has been awarded for any online course, there will be no refunds.
- Full refunds are available (minus a $10 administration fee). Exception: Duplication of payment
- For questions regarding the cancellation/refund policy, please contact steve@ceucreationsinc.com.
Sponsors
Sponsoring our trainings is a unique form of marketing that includes:
- Brand recognition
- Exposure to a large group of your target referral sources at one time (social workers, case managers, discharge planners, nurses and other healthcare professionals)
- A way to "invest in these helping professionals" by supporting these required CE trainings
Social workers, case managers, nurses, counselors and other helping professionals that hold state licensure are typically required to obtain a certain number of continuing education hours (CE hours) every few years in order to maintain their license.
In addition, CEU Creations’ events contain such valuable information and resources, there are also many professionals who attend for the information alone (even if they are not required to maintain a license). Some of the healthcare professionals who attend our events include:
- Social Workers
- Case Managers
- Discharge Planners
- Nurses
- Licensed Professional Counselors
- Chaplains
- Behavioral Health Clinicians
- Other Helping Professionals
Attendance at events varies due to the type of event and location of the event. Our full-day trainings have about 150 for live stream events (some up to 225) and about 85-125 attendees for in-person events. Atlanta-area hospital Lunch-N-Learns typically have approximately 40 attendees for in-person events and 50 attendees for live stream events. No matter the size of the event, we work diligently to ensure that you have excellent brand exposure and maximum ROI.
CEU Creations’ President Anne McSweeney is a licensed clinical social worker and we are proud to have additional helping professionals on our team. As a company, CEU Creations' team members have attended and managed events totaling thousands of CE hours.
Attending these CE events provides CEU Creations with a unique perspective as we create and plan our own CE events. We are extremely aware of topics, speakers, timeframes and venues that will attract your target audience of social workers, case managers, discharge planners and other helping professionals.
General
CEU stands for "Continuing Education Unit” that many healthcare professionals require for licensure purposes. Social workers, case managers, nurses, discharge planners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and a variety of other medical professionals must obtain a certain number of CE credits in order to maintain their licensure. Depending on the specific healthcare discipline, CE credits may be referred to as "contact hours," "clock hours," or similar terms.
CEU Creations (formerly CEU Concepts) was founded in 2010 by Anne McSweeney, LCSW when she saw a need for innovative, engaging and affordable CE trainings. Prior to founding the company, Anne worked in the medical social work arena and then in community relations providing expertise to connect companies with helping professionals. Through these interactions, Anne developed strong relationships among her peers (including social workers, nurses, case managers and other helping professionals) and found a niche in providing educational events for them. These relationships and her passion for creativity in education continue to motivate CEU Creations to strive for excellence, innovation and value with all of our CE trainings and services. #nomoreboringceus
